The Shared Services Center was formed in 1995. It is responsible for consolidating routine financial transactions and activities of many McClatchy newspapers under one roof, providing consistency and efficiency of processing and tracking. Equally important to its mission is leveraging the buying power to maintain optimal quality and value.
