Jeff began his tenure with McClatchy in September 2020, when he came on board, initially, as the Senior Vice President of Transformation. As Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Dorsey leads all aspects of the company’s transformation efforts with a key focus on value creation, ensuring that business strategies, plans, and initiatives are aligned.
A versatile senior executive experienced in leading innovative start-ups as well as large-scale established organizations, Jeff is recognized for providing stabilizing, collaborative leadership particularly during times of disruption. An impactful mentor to emerging leaders, he’s also known for increasing employee engagement through positive and open communications.
Prior to joining McClatchy, Jeff had already built a storied career of success during his 15-year stint at the Tribune Company serving in a variety of roles including Senior Vice President of Technology and Chief Information Officer. During that time he led some of the company’s most complex projects focused on optimization of operations and consolidation of technology organizations across print, digital, and broadcast.
Jeff holds a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Science, Industrial Management degree from Purdue University.
